Board Membership – Board Trustees (Voluntary)
Assisi Animal Sanctuary aspires to be the leading animal welfare charity in Northern Ireland, firmly focused on the welfare of both the companion animals in our care and those in the wider community.
- Are you are committed to Animal Welfare in Northern Ireland and to the work of Assisi Animal Sanctuary?
- Are you able to commit the time to attend monthly meetings and various events and activities as they arise throughout the year – approx. 15-20 days per year?
- Are you a team player, able to listen and work with others, offer guidance and support, and willing to work in accordance with a code of practice?
- Do you have leadership skills, including the ability to be objective, explore and question, and to act decisively when necessary?

Assisi Animal Sanctuary would like to invite interested individuals to apply to join their Board of Trustees.
The Board of Assisi has overall control of the charity and is responsible for making sure it is doing what it was set up to do and is operating within its charitable purposes.
In the voluntary role of trustee, you would play an essential part in running the charity, bringing valuable experience, skills and knowledge to help maintain the values and further develop the vital work carried out by the organisation in prioritising animal welfare.
This is an exciting time to be involved with Assisi as we develop our vision for the future of the Sanctuary. We are looking for forward thinking individuals who can drive that vision and bring their expertise to help make our plans a reality. We would particularly welcome individuals with knowledge and experience in Project Management, Income Generation, Marketing or Law.
